Two inns, one local
The Oak was the Royal Oak, and before that two neighbouring inns, the Red Lion and the Royal Oaks, joined into one in 1891. That's why the frontage runs long and irregular along St Mary's Street.
The building has been Grade II listed since 1955, and in here, as one reviewer puts it, locals and visitors mingle.
- An open fire
- Dogs welcome
- A courtyard out back
- On the Cotswold Way
